Roger D. Baranowski was welcomed into heaven on December 6, 2022 surrounded by his wife, children and sister Mary. Deja Thomas is a survey analyst at the Public Policy Institute of California, where she works with the statewide survey team. Prior to joining PPIC, she was a research assistant with the social and demographic trends team at the Pew Research Center. In that role, she contributed to a variety of national quantitative and qualitative survey studies. She holds a BA in psychology from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The children blessed her with five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Vic was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 27, 1942, to parents Victor H. After teaching, Sonja worked at the Birnamwood Veterinary Clinic until her retirement. She could always be found listening to country music and watching the Brewers and Packers. Sonja enjoyed bowling, socializing with people and eating lutefisk and lefse. She was an active member at Trinity Lutheran Church in Birnamwood.
